Gigi Hadid is weighing in on the nepo baby discourse.
The daughter of former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Hadid and real estate developer Mohamed Hadid recently shared her views on the viral social media discourse regarding the advantages of children with famous parents.
"Technically I'm a nepotism baby," she told the London Times in an article published March 5. "My parents came from very little."
Gigi got candid on the matter, adding that she's "always acknowledged that I come from privilege." However, she noted her parents have taught her not to solely rely on their family background.
As she explained, "My parents told me, ‘Just because you have parents who were successful, it doesn't mean that you shouldn't walk into the job being as nice and as hard-working as you can be."
And nepo baby talk isn't the only thing Gigi—sister to Bella Hadid—has a hot take on. She also touched on cosmetic procedures, adding, "I don't think I'm the prettiest person in the world. Some Botox could probably help but I'm not so obsessed."
One thing she is obsessed with? Being a mom. Earlier this week, Gigi shared what it's like to co-parent 2-year-old daughter Khai Hadid Malik with ex Zayn Malik. She told The Sunday Times that she schedules her work for "when Khai is with her dad."
"That she can be with both parents," Gigi added, "makes me very happy."
Another thing that brings her Joy is her connection with Khai, who Gigi welcomed in September 2020.
"She has already given me so much. I always wanted to be a mom, but I was never obsessive about it or [thought that] I was put on this Earth to be a mom," she said. "I've always been quite organized, so having Khai at the time that I did was a blessing. I'm so glad to be a young mom."
